Therapy is a place to explore, learn and grow. That is why as a therapist, I offer a safe, therapeutic relationship where you can explore all the aspects of who you are, deal with the pain and injury of life, and move towards becoming a more fully integrated, whole person. Many of the women that I have seen over the years, have sought my services to help them in the following areas:
- Chronic Health Issues
- Depression & Sadness
- Family System Issues
- Giftedness in self or children
- Grief and Loss
Since no two people are the same, I offer a variety of therapy modalities, customizing for each person's unique and individual needs.
Most of our pain in life happens in relationships, but so can the deepest repair and healing. One of the modalities that I offer is traditional talk therapy where I partner with you to listen to your life, thoughts, feelings, and desires for change and growth. There is power in the presence of a safe, nurturing relationship where you can feel accepted, and in turn face challenges, heal and grow!
"A picture is worth a thousand words..." Art making along with verbal communication, is a way to enrich and deepen the therapy experience. For clients that are interested, I provide a range of art materials to be used in session for further self-exploration and expression. Art can often allow issues to surface sooner, or be processed in a more dynamic way than just with talk alone. Tap into your inner child: you used to make art as a kid, why not now?
Walking therapy takes traditional therapy out of the office and into nature. Blending the emotional benefits of therapy with the physical benefits of walking, therapy on the go symbolizes the forward movement of change and growth. For those who are interested in this modality, we will decide together a course to walk for sessions, whether it be local streets, a serene park, or beautiful garden. Walking therapy can be utilized regularly or as a way to get a new perspective on things addressed in traditional talk therapy.
As a Registered Art Therapist, I offer Art Therapy Supervision for those who are seeking to earn their ATR through the ATCB. Having over 8 years of Art and Clinical Supervision experience, I offer a professional and creative environment to explore all the various layers of client and self. Supervision is a place to discover new uses for art intervention and media, grow personally and professionally, and develop your identity as a therapist. Individual and Group Supervision is offered.
